REGSim app for iPhone and iPad

The app, called REGSim(ulation), can simulate a voltage regulator (specifically a REG-DTM) for power transformers with On-Load Tap Changer (OLTC) under real operating conditions.

It’s possible to simulate single and parallel operation of the transformers.
The app uses a mathematic model of the transformer and the power grid to enable the realistic simulation of the voltage regulator task. The parameters of the simulation can be set as desired, so that an exact simulation of the existing systems is possible.

The effects of different control settings and extreme operating conditions on the power system are simulated in real time. The REGSim app can be used to obtain the optimal settings that can be set on the controller later on.

The simulation is performed using an appealing visualization that shows directly how the voltages and currents in the power system behave.
